Itinerary
Your Pathway to Unforgettable Experiences
Day 1: Arrival in Mangalore
Upon arrival in Mangalore, you’ll check into your chosen hotel and have some time to relax after your journey. If you have the afternoon free, you can start your exploration with a visit to the Kadri Manjunath Temple, an ancient and culturally significant temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, known for its splendid architecture and surrounding greenery. You can also make your way to the Mangalore City Market, a vibrant and bustling place where you can shop for local goods and indulge in delicious street food. After a full day of exploration, you’ll return to your hotel for a restful overnight stay.
Day 2: Mangalore Sightseeing
Your second day begins with a visit to the stunning Panambur Beach, famous for its golden sands and tranquil atmosphere. You can enjoy a leisurely morning by the sea before moving on to the Sultan Battery, an ancient watchtower situated by the Gurupura River, providing a glimpse into local history along with picturesque views of the surroundings. Following this, you’ll visit the St. Aloysius Chapel, admired for its splendid interior adorned with remarkable frescoes. As the day unfolds, you’ll explore Pilikula Nisargadhama, an integrated theme park featuring a botanical garden, zoo, and various recreational activities. You’ll return to your Mangalore hotel for another comfortable night’s stay.
Day 3: Udupi Exploration
On the third day, you’ll travel to Udupi, a short hour’s drive from Mangalore. Your primary destination is the renowned Sri Krishna Temple, an important Hindu pilgrimage site. You’ll have the chance to witness the temple’s rituals and enjoy a traditional South Indian lunch at the temple’s dining hall, famously known as “annaprasadam.” Afterward, you can take a leisurely walk along Malpe Beach, savoring the scenic beauty of the coastline. A short boat ride will then take you to St. Mary’s Island, a group of small and picturesque islands recognized for their unique geological rock formations. You have the option to return to Mangalore or choose to extend your stay in Udupi for the night.
Day 4: Departure
Your final day will begin with breakfast at your hotel, and then you’ll proceed with the check-out process. Depending on your travel plans, you can either depart for your next destination or begin your journey back home. As you leave, you’ll carry with you cherished memories of your Mangalore and Udupi adventure, from the beautiful temples to the serene beaches and captivating cultural experiences.
