Itinerary

Your Pathway to Unforgettable Experiences

 

Day 1: Arrive Athens

Upon your arrival at Athens International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to discover the captivating city of Athens. This city, revered by both gods and humanity, holds the most magnificent historical legacy in the world. Athens, the birthplace of one of the most significant ancient civilizations, is brought back to life through its magnificent architectural marvels. You’ll spend the night at your hotel in Athens.

Day 2: Athens – Olympia (Monday/Tuesday/Saturday)

Following breakfast today, complete your check-out at the hotel and head to Olympia. On the way, you’ll stop briefly at the Corinth Canal in Athens. Continue your journey to Epidaurus, where you will visit the Ancient Theatre, renowned worldwide for its exceptional acoustics. After a short stop in Nafplion, you will travel through the Argos plain to reach Mycenae. There, you’ll explore the archaeological site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. In the afternoon, there’s an optional stop for souvenirs, and then you’ll proceed to Olympia, the historic birthplace of the Olympic Games. Your overnight stay will be at the hotel in Olympia.

Day 3: Olympia - Delphi

This morning, following breakfast, complete your check-out at the hotel, and set off for Delphi. Your day’s itinerary includes a visit to the archaeological site, where you’ll explore remarkable landmarks like the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, the altar of the Olympic flame, the Stadium, and the archaeological Museum. Afterward, continue your journey through Patras with a brief stop, then proceed to Rion to cross the Corinthian Bay via the bridge to Antirion. You’ll pass through the city of Nafpaktos and follow the coastal road to Delphi, renowned in ancient times as the “navel of the world.” In the afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the charming mountain village of Arachova. Your overnight stay will be at the hotel in Delphi.

Day 4: Delphi – Kalambaka

After breakfast today, you’ll embark on a visit to the archaeological site and the Museum of Delphi. Following your exploration, you’ll journey towards Kalambaka through Central Greece, with a brief stop in Lamia. Kalambaka is a small town nestled at the base of impressive gray rock formations and is graced by the presence of the Meteora Monasteries. You’ll spend the night at the hotel in Kalambaka.

Day 5: Kalambaka - Athens

Following breakfast this morning, head to Athens in the morning, and then make your way to the nearby Meteora to explore the Byzantine Monasteries. On your return journey to Athens, you will pass by the heroic monument of Leonidas of Sparta at Thermopylae. Your overnight stay will be at the hotel in Athens.

Day 6: Athens City Tour with Acropolis Museum

After breakfast, embark on a comprehensive morning tour that takes you from the Acropolis to Omonia Square, providing an excellent opportunity to explore the renowned sites of ancient and modern Athens. This half-day guided tour offers a perfect overview of the city’s highlights. It commences at the Panathinaikon Stadium, a remarkable structure constructed entirely from white marble, where the first modern Olympic Games were held in 1896. The tour proceeds, passing by notable landmarks including Zappeion, The Temple of Olympian Zeus, Athens Trilogy (comprising the University of Athens, National Library, and Hadrian’s Arch), St. Paul’s Church, The Parliament, The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Schliemann’s House, Catholic Cathedral, Old Parliament, Constitution Square, Russian Orthodox Church, and culminates at the ACROPOLIS. There, you will visit the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Parthenon, and the Erechtheion with its Porch of Maidens. Your day concludes with an overnight stay at the hotel in Athens.

Day 7: Depart Athens

Following breakfast, you will be provided with transportation to Athens Airport for your return flight home or to your onward destination.
