Itinerary
Your Pathway to Unforgettable Experiences
Day 1: ARRIVE AUCKLAND
Upon reaching Auckland, often referred to as ‘The City of Sails,’ passengers traveling by seat-in-coach will receive a warm welcome from our local representative and enjoy a private transfer to their hotel. For those who have chosen the self-drive option, you can pick up your rental car at the airport and make your way to your hotel. You will spend the night at your accommodation in Auckland.
Day 2: AUCKLAND – WAITOMO – MATAMATA – ROTORUA
Journey southward through the Waikato region and reach Waitomo, where you’ll embark on a guided tour of the glowworm caves. Explore the extraordinary limestone formations and experience the enchantment of a boat ride beneath a canopy of thousands of twinkling glowworms. In the afternoon, proceed to Rotorua, with a stop at the Hobbiton Movie Set for a guided tour of this renowned attraction. Your overnight stay will be at a Rotorua hotel.
Day 3: ROTORUA
Next, you’ll explore the Te Puia Thermal Reserve, enjoy the Agrodome Farm Show, and visit Rainbow Springs to observe trout and wildlife. The afternoon is yours to relax and explore at your own pace. Your overnight accommodation will be at the Rotorua hotel.
Day 4:ROTORUA – WELLINGTON
In the morning, journey from Rotorua to Lake Taupo and then head south through the Central Plateau to reach Wellington, the capital city of New Zealand. You’ll spend the night at a hotel in Wellington.
Day 5: WELLINGTON
Today, begin with a morning sightseeing tour of Wellington, followed by a brief guided exploration of Te Papa, known as the ‘Museum of New Zealand.’ The afternoon is yours to freely discover the capital city of New Zealand. Your overnight stay will be at a Wellington hotel.
Day 5: WELLINGTON – CHRISTCHURCH
In the morning, embark on a voyage across the Cook Strait, a waterway that divides New Zealand’s North and South Islands, passing through the scenic Marlborough Sounds with its pristine waters and verdant woodlands, before reaching Picton. Continue your journey south, passing through Blenheim and Kaikoura, as you head towards Christchurch, often referred to as the ‘Garden City.’ Your overnight lodging will be at a hotel in Christchurch.
Day 7: CHRISTCHURCH – DUNEDIN
Continue your journey, heading south across the Canterbury Plains, until you arrive in Dunedin, a city with a strong Scottish influence known for its local wildlife and Otago University. Your overnight stay will be at a Dunedin hotel.
Day 8: DUNEDIN – QUEENSTOWN
The morning offers free time for optional activities of your choice. In the afternoon, depart from Dunedin and journey inland, passing through the towns of Central Otago before reaching Queenstown in the early evening. You’ll spend the night at a Queenstown hotel.
Day 9: QUEENSTOWN
Today, the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure, with optional attractions available in Queenstown. This vibrant destination offers a range of activities like bungy jumping, jetboating, white water rafting, gondola rides, and many more. Please note that optional activities are not included in the tour price. You’ll spend the night at a Queenstown hotel.
Day 10: QUEENSTOWN – GLACIER REGION
Travel to the Glacier Region by way of Lake Wanaka, passing through the historic Haast Pass, which serves as the entry point to the World Heritage-listed Westland National Park. Follow the route up the West Coast, taking in the awe-inspiring mountain ranges, native woodlands, and lakes, until you reach the glacier region encompassing Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers. Self-drive clients will have the added benefit of complimentary entry to the Glacier Hot Pools. Your overnight stay will be at a hotel in the Glacier Region.
Day 11: GLACIER REGION – GREYMOUTH – CHRISTCHURCH
In the morning, journey north to Greymouth and for seat-in-coach passengers, embark on the renowned TranzAlpine train. As the train makes its way through verdant beech forests and the charming alpine village of Arthur’s Pass, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the magnificent Southern Alps. Continue your trip across the Canterbury Plains before arriving in Christchurch. You’ll spend the night at a hotel in Christchurch.
Day 12: DEPART CHRISTCHURCH
Head to Christchurch Airport to catch your flight to your next destination or return to your hometown, carrying cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

- All prices per person based on minimum 2 adult travelling together.

- Standard Category is equivalent to a good 3-star tourist hotel. These hotels represent excellent value for money and usually have a licensed restaurant and bar on the premises.
- Deluxe Category describes hotels in the 3 1/2 to 4-star category. More often than not, these will be centrally located and offering a wide range of services and facilities.
- Premium Category are central city or resort location hotels at the top end of the scale rating 4 to 4.5 stars and offering wide range range of facilities
